Prepare translation with consent and quote estimates
Capture consent, language preferences, and quote estimates before paid translation work or same-voice localization is enabled.
Purpose
Capture consent and language preferences and get a quote estimate so localized work is ready to start once provider and legal readiness are in place.
Who this is for
Owners, admins, and creator managers preparing localized or same-voice content.
Prerequisites
- A workspace with translation readiness enabled.
- Agreement on source and target languages.
- Speaker consent for any same-voice or localized work.
Steps
- Open Translation Readiness for the project or content.
- Record consent and set source and target languages.
- Request a quote estimate to preview the work and unit cost.
- Review any setup blockers the estimate reports.
- Keep consent and preferences saved until live translation is enabled.
- Revisit once provider and legal readiness are complete.
Expected result
Consent, language preferences, and a quote estimate are saved, with any blockers clearly listed, so translation can begin once readiness is met — no live run happens prematurely.
Verification
- Saved consent and language preferences persist when you return.
- The quote estimate shows units and any setup blockers.
- No live translation runs until provider and legal readiness are confirmed.
If something goes wrong
- A quote cannot be produced
- Confirm consent is saved and both source and target languages are set.
- A setup blocker is listed
- Read the blocker; it names what readiness step is still required.
- Same-voice is unavailable
- Same-voice needs explicit speaker opt-in plus provider readiness.
Permissions
Capturing consent and estimates needs an owner, admin, or creator-manager role; live translation also requires provider and legal readiness.

Support
If readiness stays blocked, ask your workspace admin to review provider and legal status. LumenReach support can explain readiness without making any live translation call.
