Create social drafts and propose clearer website copy

Purpose

Choose Social content for block-based drafts or Website copy for proposed improvements to LumenReach help articles. Compare your wording, save explicitly, and open the saved work for review. A saved proposal or review does not change the live website; social publish-requests remain separate from external delivery.

Who this is for

Creators, content teams, and workspace administrators preparing social drafts or improving LumenReach's public help copy.

Prerequisites

• A project with brand context so drafts reuse the right voice.
• Content permission for the selected workspace and project. Your available controls reflect your current role.
• Website copy requires a verified Google sign-in. Adding a copy source also requires integration-management permission.
• Another eligible person to review a proposal; its author cannot approve their own work.

Steps

1. Open Content Studio and choose Social content or Website copy. Switching these sections keeps local work in this browser tab.
2. For Social content, choose a project and draft, add or rearrange blocks, inspect the Live preview and warnings, and Save draft. Review revisions before requesting a publish decision.
3. For Website copy, load current projects and choose the project that will own the proposal. Load articles, then choose an active copy source or add one if your role permits. Adding a source does not connect or verify a live website.
4. Search or filter the public articles, choose one, and edit its Summary or Purpose. Compare Original copy with Your changes and explain why the change helps readers.
5. Save the proposal explicitly. Open saved proposal to inspect its details and review history. Another eligible person can record a review; this still does not apply the copy to the live website.
6. Before changing projects, finish a pending save or keep its original retry. Confirm any discard of local edits. Reloading or closing the browser does not save local work.

Expected result

You have an explicitly saved social draft or a saved website-copy proposal with a reviewable comparison. Social publish-requests route to the Approval Queue; website proposals have their own saved review history. Neither workflow delivers content to an external network or updates the live website.

Verification

• The draft appears in Content Studio with its blocks assembled.
• The live preview reflects the content you composed and edited.
• The saved draft persists when you reopen Content Studio.
• A website-copy save opens a stored proposal for the selected project, with the intended Summary or Purpose changes and review history.
• The live website stays unchanged after saving or reviewing a proposal.

If something goes wrong

A block will not save

Confirm the block has the required fields filled; some block types need a label or body text.

Brand context does not appear in the draft

Confirm the brand context is saved on the same project and reopen the draft.

The live preview does not match the blocks

Save the draft and reopen it; the preview rebuilds from the saved block state.

A website-copy save has no confirmed result

Use the retained retry to send the same request. An earlier step may already be saved. Discarding local retry state does not undo stored records and starting again may create another record.

The website-copy capacity limit is reached

This pilot retains at most 64 article snapshots per workspace. Retrying cannot add capacity. Keep your wording locally and ask your workspace administrator about capacity; do not start a new save.

The copy source changed or was withdrawn

Read the returned explanation. Keep the original retry if an earlier result is uncertain. After explicitly discarding local retry state when appropriate, reload sources and choose a current active source before preparing another proposal.

Website copy access is paused

Use Check website copy access to recheck your signed-in session and current projects. If prompted, review the warning before discarding local work. Changing pages does not restore withdrawn access.

Public articles cannot be loaded

Try Load articles again when the service is available. An unavailable article list is not proof that the project has no content.

Permissions

Content permissions determine whether you can read or manage drafts and proposals. Website copy additionally requires a current Google human session, and adding a source requires integration-management permission. A different eligible person must review a proposal. A social publish-request routes to the Approval Queue for a separate decision.
