Use Content Studio to draft, edit, preview, and save content
Content Studio is a block-based drafting surface where you compose blocks, edit them, preview the assembled content, and save drafts. A publish-request boundary routes a draft to the Approval Queue when you choose it; drafts are not published or delivered to any external network.
Purpose
Understand how Content Studio works as a block-based drafting surface so you can compose blocks, edit them, preview the assembled content, and save drafts, knowing that a publish-request sends a draft to the Approval Queue — nothing is published or delivered to any external network.
Who this is for
Creators and admins who compose, edit, preview, and save content in Content Studio.
Prerequisites
- A project with brand context so drafts reuse the right voice.
- A creator, admin, or owner role to start or edit a draft.
- Agreement on who acts as the second human for approvals.
Steps
- Open Content Studio from the workspace navigation inside a project.
- Add blocks — text, media references, or structured components — to build your draft.
- Edit and rearrange blocks until the draft reads the way you want.
- Use the live preview to review how the assembled content reads.
- Apply brand context guidance so the draft stays on-brand.
- Save the draft; it stays in Content Studio until you choose to act on it.
Expected result
You have a composed, edited, previewed, and saved draft in Content Studio that carries brand context. A publish-request can send the draft to the Approval Queue for a second-human decision, but no draft is published or delivered to any external network.
Verification
- The draft appears in Content Studio with its blocks assembled.
- The live preview reflects the content you composed and edited.
- The saved draft persists when you reopen Content Studio.
If something goes wrong
- A block will not save
- Confirm the block has the required fields filled; some block types need a label or body text.
- Brand context does not appear in the draft
- Confirm the brand context is saved on the same project and reopen the draft.
- The live preview does not match the blocks
- Save the draft and reopen it; the preview rebuilds from the saved block state.
Permissions
Creating and editing drafts needs a creator, admin, or owner role; a publish-request routes the draft to the Approval Queue for a second-human decision.
