Switch between dark and light mode

Use the appearance toggle in the header to switch the whole app between dark and light. Dark is the default; light is in Beta. Your choice is remembered in your browser.

Purpose

Change LumenReach between dark and light appearance, understand that light is a Beta still being refined, and know that your choice is saved only in the browser you set it in.

Who this is for

Anyone who wants to change how LumenReach looks. Appearance is a personal preference, not a workspace setting.

Prerequisites

A browser where you can allow local storage so the preference can be remembered.
Nothing else — appearance is a personal preference and needs no special role.

Steps

Find the appearance toggle in the top header; it shows a sun or moon and a Beta tag.
Select it to switch from dark to light, or from light back to dark.
Confirm the whole app, including the side navigation, updates immediately.
Reload the page to confirm your choice is remembered in this browser.

Expected result

The app switches theme instantly without a flash, and your preference is restored the next time you open LumenReach in the same browser.

Verification

The toggle reflects the current theme after you switch.
After a reload, the app opens in the theme you last chose.
Text and controls stay readable after switching.

If something goes wrong

Light mode shows a surface that still looks dark: Light is a Beta preview; a few dark-by-design panels are still being refined. The content is still usable — switch back to dark if you prefer, and the team is closing the remaining gaps.
Your choice is not remembered: Allow local storage for the site; private or hardened browser modes can clear the saved preference between visits.
A teammate sees a different theme: Appearance is per person and per browser, not a workspace setting, so each person can choose their own.

Permissions

Appearance is a personal preference for your own browser. It does not change anything for your teammates and needs no admin role.

Support

If a specific screen is hard to read in light mode, switch back to dark and tell your workspace admin which screen it was. LumenReach support can record the screen for the light-mode refinement without needing any private details.
